Update in the Life Thereof!!

Lets hope this will be a come back to the blogging world not just an appearance. We got rid of our internet for awhile but now we are back in progress, so I am in charge of our blog updates from now on! Soon we will have pictures to bring you up to the present time in how the kiddos look and such, but our picture upload isnt working right now. Yeah, figures. Now onto the updates...
Aiden is now 2 1/2 yrs old and is going on 12! Seriously, he is in charge in every way, at least he thinks he is! Watch out when you are with him cause he will talk your ear off! He is a typical boy in every way. He loves to fix things, cars, airplanes, all sports (especially basketball and soccer like his daddy and uncle Richard), he is going through a new stage called...Be agressive...B E agressive!!! It is his lifes motto these days! He is an awesome big brother, it has turned from the love hate relationship with Lindsey to more of the love, which is good for us all! lol But all in all he brings so much life to our little world...we wouldnt have him any other way.
Lindsey is now 10 months old as of yesterday! All I can say is "what?". Where did that time go? She is completely different from Aiden, so I feel like I am being a first time mom all over again. She is very chill for the most part. Every time you look at her she has a grin from cheek to cheek that you can't help but smile back at, and it warms your heart oh so much! She has hair, so I have been enjoying doing it and getting her to look so girly! She is stubborn, refuses to crawl, she gets on her tummy and makes us think she is going to but then rolls over onto her back...the little stinker! She loves to hold on to my hand and walk her around everywhere, but the moment you let go...she falls down. She doesnt have the confidence in herself yet. She loves music! She can say hi, mama, dada, and copies any sound she hears, its quite funny! If you ask anyone who is around her for longer than 2 min they will tell you she is a complete mamas girl! I luff it but it's hard to get anything done with her around! We love her and are glad she brings her smiley light into our world!
Rog is awesome! He is applying to the MBA program at UVU here in a few weeks! Lets hope he makes it! I have no doubts! So he plans on being able to start the Masters program this upcoming fall which will take his Fri nights and Sat mornings for 2 whole years. Not sure we are ready for that but definately ready for the next chapter financially in our lives! He is also on a city basketball league with a few friends that he enjoys every thursday night! Rog is doing well at his job. We are so greatful that he has it and it can support our growing family without me having to work. He's willing works hard for us, no questions asked! Thanks babe!
Me, I am being a Mom 24/7! I love it but it sure is an adjustment to the system from the free single life once lived! I have found some good friends in the ward that have saved me from total despair! Recently I was in need of some extra help for the post partum blues that I just couldnt shake...so all is well now, I feel like Nicole again! We just started a Biggest Loser challenge with some family and friends so lets hope we are the Biggest Losers so we can look good and get the big money jackpot!!! Still visit with my mom and sisters every wednesday so that our little kiddos get to see grandma and play with eachother! So if you are ever bored on a wed and need something to do...come on down for a crazy filled visit!!!
Well, I guess this has been a long enough update post! I hope you somewhat enjoyed!
P.s. I promise pictures will soon be coming!

Lindsey's Blessing

On May 2, Lindsey received her baby blessing. It was a wonderful experience, and we are grateful to all who were able to show their love and support for our growing family!

The tassel's worth the hassle!

Although it has been four months since I technically graduated in December with my Bachelor's degree, the official graduation took place on April 30! It's pretty crazy to reflect on the seven years I've spent since I graduated high school. A life-changing mission in Indiana, marrying the love of my life, and two special spirits coming into the world later, here I am. During the ceremony, one of the speakers mentioned the stress he battled as a single guy working 20 hours a week while attending school. I guess that's why I appreciate this degree a little extra, as I've started a family and worked full-time, what a pansy! I guess it's time to start a new chapter, life after school (well, until I start my Masters).

Let me help you with that

We are finally starting to find a routine, now that Lindsey is coming up on two months. While there are times when Aiden may feel that Lindsey is hogging our attention, most of the time he is helping us take care of her and showing her the ropes. It's very rewarding as a parent to see your kids looking out for each other.

Giraffes and Camels and Elephants! Oh my!

April 2010

Our family loves the zoo! It all started on my first birthday when my parent's took me to the zoo and even videotaped it as evidence. To continue the tradition, Nicole and I went with my brother Richard the summer after we got married. We then took Aiden to the zoo for his first birthday. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time (thus the lack of pictures). On April 10, we decided to test fate and give it another go! The weather was perfect, and even though a lot of the animals were either sleeping or hiding, we had a blast!

Happy Belated Easter!

Even though Easter was April 4th, we still wanted to show proof of our cute kids gettin' all dressed up for the occasion! We were able to go have dinner with the great-grandparents (my Dad's parents), grandparents (my parents), aunt (my sister), and uncle (my brother)! Ok, that was probably too much information, but just appreciate the fact that there are pictures to go along with the amazing writing! More to come soon!

Home Sweet Home

After Lindsey was born on Monday, she and Nicole stayed in the hospital until Thursday afternoon. Dad got to juggle work, hospital visits, and taking care of Aiden...definitely gaining a better appreciation for Mommy!

Immediately after Lindsey was born, Lindsey's blood sugar was lower than normal, but after a couple hours of monitoring, she was fine. We think that Nicole's low blood sugar prior to the C-Section caused the same in Lindsey. The pediatrician noticed Lindsey was showing signs of jaundice, a common condition in premature babies which occurs when the liver can't remove bilirubin from the blood adequately. Consequently, we've been visiting the hospital to test her levels each morning to make sure it is improving. Other than dealing with jaundice and the fun (or lack thereof) of Nicole getting through the healing process, we are doing great!

Now that we are all home, the next adventure is getting into a new routine. Aiden is always wanting to be wherever his sister is, and loves her very much!
