Game Chest REfurBisH!

Got sick of the weather not letting me finish some of my projects around the house, so I attempted one inside. So I got out some garbage bags, my paint brush and paint and went at it. I was suprised at how mess free it was especially being inside, in my bedroom, and with 2 kids running around. What was I thinking and...how pro am I? lol Only two coats and about an hour and a half later I finished.
Isn't she a beauty? I totally need to be better at doing before pics. Oh well, maybe next time.
So it was like a medium brown wood before my famouse green paint. I promise no more big furniture in the green paint. It's just so fun I can't help myself.
Doesn't it match my bed spread so nicely? Love it! Ok so I do have to wait to do my other table til a nice outside day...and no kid distractions....so we'll see how soon i'll be able to pull that one off! :)

It's a Partay!

We were able to get together with our Crist family two times in one week! How fun is that?

First for Mother's Day, thanks to all the mom's in my life whom I adore. We then celebrated with a great dinner...Yum Yum, the food is always good at Rog's Aunt Serena and Uncle Jeff's house. Maybe it's cause I don't have to cook it all! Lol Second cause it was Grandpa Duke's Birthday. Aiden and Lindseys Great Grandpa. All of us playin a sweet game of volleyball. Ah yeah...we are pro!
This is the famous Great grandpa Duke! Happy Birthday, we love you and hope you have sooo many more. The Chef of the get togethers. Uncle Jeff, you sure can BBQ a mean hamburger!

The boys playin a round of basketball while waiting for dinner to be ready. Must have been a sweet shot by the looks of the picture! lol

Auntie Brinley stuck entertaining Lindsey! She loves to swing, when Lindsey wants to swing she points and says "weeeee" until she gets what she wants. Thanks Auntie for being her friend!

Aiden and Lindsey's first time on a trampoline. Pretty much hilarious. Aiden would only jump when no one else was on it and got nervous and wanted to sit down whenever somone got on. Lindsey wanted to jump so bad but was so scared. Maybe we need to get them out more! lol

All in all we have such a great time each and every time we get to hangout with our Crist family. Thanks guys, WE LOVE YOU!

THe PrOjecT!

RefurBish!

Most that know me know of my HobBie! I love to RefurBish...ReFurbIsh....RefUrbiSh!!!!!

This particular project was a long process. It took me a good 8 hrs to finish. I loved every minute of it. Before the makeover the table was stained a dark brown along with the chairs. After a good sanding, prime, paint, sand again, and then glaze my masterpiece was done. I love the way it turned out. When I would tell people that I wanted to paint my table green you should have seen the faces I'd get! lol

The next step was to put new covers on the chair cushions. They were a dingy white..ish color before. I chose the fabric then the paint color so I'm glad it turned out and was definitely a risk worth taking!
LOVE it! My next project is our computer table, so be sure to stay tuned for that!

Decorating Eggs!

Our friends Emily Anderson and her kids Abby, Jaiden and Ali were nice to let us join in on their Easter egg decorating adventure. Aiden and Abby play really well together, thanks for being so sweet Abby! Abby called it "painting" eggs, she would correct me every time. We had a ton of fun!! Even us moms were able to enjoy ourselves because we knew the mess would be inevitable and so we didn't stress! lol Although my friend Christy game me this amazing idea for coloring eggs. Use a wisk and it makes the process pretty much as mess free as one can get with 2 yr olds! Lindsey just gets to sit back and watch the egg "painting" process....next year you can join in on the fun.

The Hunt!

Grandpa and Grandma Crist had a little Easter egg hunt just for Aiden and Lindsey! Thanks guys, it was the best! Lindsey figured out the fun fast and was totally into finding the eggs. She also realized that candy was in the eggs and tried to open them and succeeded a few times! Aiden had a blast, he thought it was so cool that he found so many, especially the ones really hard to find...like up in the tree! Good thing uncle Richard and Daddy were there to help out! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Easter Bunny!
The Easter Bunny soooo came to our house. This is the first year that he came, so we were extra happy! He brought outside toys, cool straws, coloring books, and more candy for Aiden. Lindsey got some fingernail polish, kites, straws, and outside toys too! Thanks Easter Bunny!m

Sunday Best!

Isn't Aiden oh so handsome? I'm biased but I definitely think so!! :) He is getting so big, I can't believe he is almost 3 yrs old already. Aiden you are such blessing in our life....it wouldn't be the same without you. Please don't change, We love you! Lindsey wouldn't cooperate with us while we were taking the pics before church so we don't have a cute one of her. But we still love her anyway! :) Thanks for being such a good little girl and always bringing smiles and happiness into our lives. We love you girl! :)
Last but not least...Our Family! I can't believe we are a family of four. I love it!! We have been so blessed in our lives! Rog has a great job that supports our needs, he also just got accepted to the MBA program at UVU starting this fall. Congrats Rog, you ROCK!!!! Rog is now the 2nd Counselor in the Young Mens, that has been an adjustment but has brought more blessings than we can count. We enjoy the Gospel and are blessed to have it as apart of our lives. The knowledge that it gives us is truly priceless. We love our Savior and are greatful for the sacrifice that He gave in our behalf. All we have we owe to you. THANK YOU and WE LOVE YOU!

Crist Family March 2011

Family photo shoots are always oh so much fun. Especially with a 2 1/2 and 1 yr old! Good thing we got a few good ones to share with ya'll! Our friend Jessica took them for us, I think she did a great job. As a family we are enjoying life and doing great! Enjoying our sweet little experiences with Aiden and Lindsey! Excited for Spring to be here and to be outside at all times. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Lindsey Dawn!!! :)

Our cutie Lindsey Dawn! At Her one year appointment she weighed 17.8 lbs and 26 in long. So tiny she is in the 5th percentile, same size as a 6mo old.
She is such a fun, sweet little girl. Always all smiles and talkative!

Lindsey started crawling and got her first two teeth at 11 mo and walking at 12 1/2 mo.
She is our late bloomer but mommy was definately ok with that! :)

We love you Lindsey just the way you are! :)
