School Days are here!

September 1, 2011
First day of Preschool
The time had finally come and boy were we excited. We have been waiting for school to start since February when we registered. The deal was that he had to be potty trianed to go. Didn't have to tell Aiden twice. He potty trained himself within a week. Go Aiden!
I told Aiden to pose for a picture and this is what he gave me, random yet GQ? lol
Lindsey had to get in on the action...she sure looks super cute! :)
My handsome boy! Aiden good luck this year in school. Learn lots and have so much fun. I hope you make friends and enjoy time for just you! :)

First day of Utah Valley University MBA Program
Good luck on your 2 yr adventure! We know you will do great and hope you have fun while you are there. We are glad you have your friend Jeremiah Makin to experience this with you. Love you Daddy!

Fun @ Grandma Drapers!

Painting...
Lindsey had so much fun for her first time painting. She not only painted her bird but...
she painted the table...notice the chair behind her...and anyone who would walk by. Then she would laugh and laugh. Made me laugh so hard, she was enjoying her self entirely too much! lol
Hi Mommy....Look at me, i'm painting! :)
And then there is Aiden who gets way serious when he paints. He is also very thorough and particular in how he accomplishes is project. Love him!
Puppies...
Grandmas doggy Kismet had 8 puppies in August. At first Lindsey wasn't so sure about them but has grown to love them pretty fast.
Now Aiden loved them from the moment he saw them. He has named the runt of the litter Elliot. And every time we go to Grandmas he finds Elliot and doesn't put him down. He is going to be so heart broken when Elliot has to go to a new home. I knew Aiden would love the puppies especially...because his first word was "doggy...oof oof"!
Thanks Grandma Draper for all the good times at your house and for sharing your puppies with us! We Love You!

TAEKWONDO!

Aiden is now a Taekwondo master!
Here is Aiden at his first class. He got the fancy new uniform that he gets to keep. The teacher started out with the basics...how to follow directions, bow before entering the mat, and saying "yes ma'm" to everything she says or asks!
This is them slapping their arms to their sides and then going to bow as they say "yes ma'm"!
Sooo cute!
This part made me teary eyed and almost cry. Here Aiden is getting his belt officially tied on by his teacher. I just felt so proud...he looked so big to me. I can't believe my baby is 3 yrs old!
They had to stand on these yellow pieces of tape to await directions. Aiden was a little confused at times about what he was suppose to do...but caught on eventually. He was the youngest of them all by atleast 6mo! So his favorite part of the whole class was when he learned to kick and punch! Figures! lol
We had fun and again thank grandma Crist for signing us up for the class.

Fourth of July 2011!!!!

Freedom Festival 5K Run!
Brinley and I after our first 5K race...EVER!
I am 2 1/2 mo pregnant here, was proud to have finished. I signed up for the race before I knew I was even pregnant. My time wasn't the best (I blame it on the last mile that was uphill the entire way! lol)...it was 36 min 3 sec! I loved every minute of it though....just felt this sense of accomplishement. :) Thanks Brinley for doing so great and toughing it out with me!
After the race we headed to the parade....Einstien Bagels in tow! This is the best pic I got of Lindsey the little stinker! She had a lot of fun at her first parade! :)
Aiden was so cute, so happy to be at the parade cause he loves it! Handsome little man isn't he?
They both would point at and scream at every thing that passed it was hilarious. Aiden's favorite this year were the Army guys with guns and Kung Fu Panda! Not sure Lindsey had a fav...she was excited for them all. I love having kids to continue the traditions I loved. And it makes me happy to see them enjoying it as I had hoped!
Happy 4th of July! Thank you to all who have made it possible for us to be Free! We are truly blessed to live in America!

San Diego Trip...part 4...the final stop!

The Mormon Battalion in Old Town San Diego!
We took a detour before we headed to the beach! Aiden, Rog, Abby, Adam and Emily all paning for gold! This was a cute part at the end of the tour. There were a few other little things you could do that were what they did back in the day!
Here we are getting the tour from a lovely Sister Missionary...GO SISTERS! Anywho Aiden got picked to be the one to get to wear all the cool gear the men wore. Can you guess what his favorite accessory was?...He was so excited to get to hold that huge gun all by himself.
He would have made such a handsome soldier! :)
The tour was pretty neat to see, a little long for the kiddos but fun!
At the end of the tour we got a picture in front of a pioneer back drop, it turned out cute but I can't find it. Bummer! :(
Finally....THE BEACH!!!!!!
Isn't it just gorgeous?
Aiden and our friend Abby couldn't get enough of the beach. So we all had to take shifts gaurding them in the water. They were so funny, they kept yelling at the water saying stuff like " you wanna piece of me...come and get me...you waves you..I'm not afraid of you! " Too cute!
Ahh...Heaven!
Lindsey got really cold really fast in the water so she thought it better and safer in the sand...and boy did she get sand....all over! :)
The shade...Emily Anderson and Rog relaxing and enjoying the lazy time at the beach.
Aiden and Mommy...Cheese! :)
Lindsey and Daddy....I just love this duo! Thanks La Jolla Beach, we had a blast and can't wait to come back! :)
This concluded our trip to San Diego! We headed back to Las Vegas the next day and stayed the night at my Grandma Briggs house. We ended our adventure the next afternoon as we arrived at home....exhauseted. This was our first vacation as a family...and we will probably wait another year or two before we do something so big again!
Our first family trip is now officially documented! :)
San Diego thanks for the memories!!!!!!

San Diego Trip...part 3!!

Sea World!
Our first stop, the Dolphins of course.!
We lucked out, we got to see them up close before they closed it off to public for awhile.
Waiting for the Shamu show to start. You could text a number and see your name on a screen, it took forever but I sorta got the pic!
Lindsey posin' for the camera! :)
Aiden had been waiting to see Shamu ever since cousin Abby went a month before us...he was so excited so I just had to get a pic of him at Shamu's stadium!
And the tricks began...always so cool!
This was Aiden's favorite part because Shamu sprayed the entire section and he thought it was hilarious. He still talks about it today!
Oh...cute lil love birds at Shamu!
One of the few family pics we were able to get on our trip. Turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself! Had so much fun at Sea World, I personally love sea life so I enjoyed myself. We sadly weren't able to get many pics but we saw so many cool creatures. Aidens favorite were the Sharks and Lindsey enjoyed the Turtles! I love how that shows the true boy and girl in them!
Thanks Sea World...hope to see ya again sometime!
